Automation rules at the Post Office. Mailings have to be processed through their expensive automation machines to spare delivery delays and errors in manual handling. At Direct Mail Center, we prepare the automation mail through with what we call "MailSMARTER!".

MailSMARTER! includes some or all of the following processes:

	Addresses are verified as deliverable addresses, corrected if possible, zip codes extended to zip+4+2 and carrier-route #'s added
	Printing of a CASS certificate to qualify for minimum postage
	Your file can be NCOA'd & NIXIE'd (upon request-should be done every 6 months)
	The mailing pieces can be printed with an ADDRESS CHANGE SERVICE endorsement (upon request-should be done every 6 months)
	The addressing of the mailing pieces is done with a postnet barcode
